GIS-Based Urban Planning & Infrastructure Development
Large-scale infrastructure projects require careful evaluation of their potential social consequences. Citiyano De Solutions was engaged to design and conduct a Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for the island territory of Lakshadweep, covering Kavaratti and associated islands.
Our work involved a multistakeholder evaluation to analyse the impact of proposed development layouts on local communities and the fragile island ecosystem. We conducted stakeholder consultations, community surveys, and socioeconomic profiling to capture the views and concerns of residents and authorities. The SIA ensured that infrastructural development was aligned with community safety, cultural sensitivities, and environmental regulations. This data-driven, inclusive approach provided the administration with clear recommendations to navigate development challenges while preserving the unique character of the islands.
